The High Top is a soft boot which is relatively high and therefore offers a lot of support and provides stability to the ankles. The sole of the shoe is made of fiberglass shell, which can be deformed by heat to a limited extent. This combined with the laces and Velcro ensures that the shoe is always tight to your feet.
